Hi Sarah

Thanks for clearing up the luggage rules.

Kind regards

Olly

Thank-you for the information it is very useful

Reading other emails regarding pre-payment or credit card facilities for optional tours: I would support this as a better way of payment rather than carrying cash

Marie

Hi,

I can tell you that the extra luggage allowance is only applicable on the international flights, for the domestic flights the luggage allowance for the hold-checked cases is 23kg. (For the domestic flights, everyone in the group travels economy)

Re: Handluggage weight - it needs to be reasonable on the domestic flights but for international flights Qantas are strict about weight and size. Officially only 1 piece of handluggage for Economy (although having a couple of bags is usually okay); 2 per person for Prem Econ/Bus/First; all classes = 7kg max per bag:

The following is a posting I made back in April in response to a similar question:

"Can I recommend that you don't take too much with you.

Don't attempt to take enough clothes for the 3 or 4 weeks - just take enough for 7/8 days because every hotel has laundry facilities (self-service washing and tumble drying machines) and you will have time to put the washing on and leave it to dry overnight if you don't want to use the dryers. Plus every room has an iron and ironing board, as well as a kettle. So you can leave these items at home.

Go with a lightly filled case as you'll find lots of souvenirs and gifts to pick up throughout the tour."

With kind regards, Sarah

Marie

I did not travel with JY to Australia ..I went 3 years ago and I can recommend going on the Kuranda Train Journey, Sydney Cruise is worth the hour, I also did a hot air balloon ride while I was in Cairns which I would not of missed for the World.

I take it this tour includes AYres Rock??..I went over Ayres Rock and the Olgas on a helicopter flight absolutley amazing well worth trying to do that if you have time. I didn't have time to go on the Harley Davidson bike ride around the base of the rock but maybe another day.

Have a great holiday.

Cindy
