Hi VeeI'm sorry you didn't see much of your claim but I expect most other insurers would require some sort of documentation. We are happy to help with insurance but you are always free to make other arrangements if you prefer.Kind regards,Olly, your editor

In repy to you, why charge £73 , but when you have a claim we as customers get near enough nothing back,
Do i have to lose a limb or worse still pass away, befor any money is paid out?
So it sounds like to me if you have a small claim, not that £50 is small to most of us, we get more or less nothing back.
Vee( disharten customer.
Hi VeeInsurance is quite a complicated subject and I don't really know all the facts here. But if you could explain the situation in a bit more detail, I'll be happy to forward it on to a colleague who specialises in insurance matters.Kind regards,Olly, your editor

Hi Olly, it sure is, and not worth the money you charge, i paid £50 to the doctor im Mombassa, to find out when i got home that i needed a letter from my own JP to say i was fit and well befor i left, this was going to cost me £36, this would leave me with £14 of my claim, takeing away the cost of my phone calls to JY there was not a lot left to clain.
I will never take out JY insurance again, i willgo to the post office next time .

Hi SkippyYou should always have travel insurance if you are going on any of our holidays outside the UK. Insurance isn't included in the cost of your holiday but it is possible that you already asked us to include it when you booked. If you can't find any mention of it on the documents we have already sent you I would check with our holiday advisors by calling 0844 567 8844 (have your booking reference handy).Kind regards,Olly, your editor

Hi Olly, i took out JY travel insurance for my trip on the 16 of may, but i never recived any documents, i phone up and was told they dont do that now i just need my booking REF NO but this is not true, now im stuck as i need the help of a doctor at a cost of £50 i have no address to make my claim..
Some one in JY office did not know what they were doing, i do hope you can help clear this up for me .
Regards Vee
Like Cindy I use the Post Office annual and have found them very good the one time I had to make a claim (which wasn't a JY holiday).
Mick
I get a yearly insurance through the Post Office which works very well for me and the holidays I go on.
