Hi Sharon

Coach timings will be decided closer to departure but don't worry - we will write and let you know all the details a couple of weeks before you travel.

I would expect the coach journey to take about two to three hours from Basingstoke to Dover, plus any stops.

Kind regards,

Hi Olly,

I'm thinking of going on this holiday at the beginning of September and would probably get the coach from Basingstoke - can you tell me please what time it leaves Basingstoke/where in the town/how long it takes to get to Dover?

Thanks!

Hi Peter

I'm glad we sorted this out for you. That's another £32 spending money for your holiday too.

Thanks for the reply. I rang the number you suggested and they agree. I don't need to use National Express to get to Dover. I will get picked up at my local ASDA on the M4 juction just North of Cardiff. They have also arranged a refund of the £32 fare for me. Looking back at the on-line itinerary etc I notice that it says "Local departure by coach". I will have to write 100 times "I must pay more attention in class"!

Thanks again, Peter

Hi Peter

The first thing to say here is that I don't think you need a National Express ticket on this tour. Charms of Luxembourg is one of a handful of coach holidays offered by Just You, so in most cases the coach trip is included in the price of the holiday.

However, you may still need your National Express ticket if you want to travel on a different day (so that you can stay overnight somewhere along the way).

I would suggest you give us a ring on 0844 567 8844 and explain the situation. Our holiday advisors will be happy to work out the best solution with you and arrange a refund if necessary.

I'm already booked for the 2nd September “Charms of Luxembourg” tour. This will be my first JY holiday, I'm looking forward to it, and I have a query or two for you! I have ticked the box for National Express coach travel. Where will I need to get a coach to, my first guess is to the ferry terminal at Dover. My initial query concerns the time I need to be at Dover.

I will be leaving from Cardiff and the coach time to Dover is 7½ hours, the web site doesn't say it, but, I expect there will be a change of coach in London. If the time I'm expected to be in Dover is early, then, rather than travel overnight I would prefer to arrive the day before and stay overnight in London or Dover.

My other query is, do I arrange a coach seat booking or is JY doing it?

PS The same applies to the return journey!
