I found your post very interesting as I have booked this holiday. I hope I don't get a shoe box. A broom cupboard I could cope with, I think! Is anyone else going on the 2nd May? I hope so. Hi Marilyn I did this tour a year ago. The hotel was once on The Grand Tour. It has now been remodeled into a package tour hotel which means that the Grand Rooms have been calved up into all shapes and sizes. On checking into my room I was devasted to have been given a shoe box, I went and complained and was upgraded to a broom cupboard, whilst somebody in the next room to me had a room the size of a football pitch, its just luck, I was not the only one who asked to be moved, by this time and it being my first holiday alone I didn't have the energy to complain again so i put up with it for the holiday, but was not very happy, I did complain to JY at the end of the holiday, but had no comment back. Somebody I became friendly with had upgraded to a balcony room, and it was very nice she had a bath and it was very spacious, however...these rooms are on the main road which is very busy and she was disturbed by the noise.

Having said all of this I enjoyed the rest of the holiday, the food was good, hot, there was plenty of choice, and it was self service so the potion sizes were your choice. The hotel is well situated and the trips really enjoyable.

Can anyone advise on the single room accommodation at the Hotel Bazzoni in Tremezzo? We have been trying to upgrade to a balcony rooms but none available. My mother is a very active 86 year old but I am concerned whether the rooms are comfortable having read somewhere that they are quite small. Any help much appreciated.Thanks Marilyn Caladine
