I have done the Kenya Safari trip with the add on...as Olly says most meals are provided. On the 2nd part of the tour you had to get lunch every day and all your drinks you have to buy. If you had a good breakfast and then had the evening dinner you don't always NEED lunch to be honest. You do need to drink a fair bit in veiw of the intense heat. Also two evenings in the 2nd hotel myself and a few ladies ate once in the Indian restraunte and once in the Italian restraunte (these are both in the hotel complex) as we had, had enough of buffet meals. If it is this tour your on, then I do know that some of the excursions were quite a price, so allow for extra trips while away, the office might be able to give you a rough guide to the prices of the extra trips. Also to get to the supermarket etc, we got taxi there and back. Also there is a massage place and they are resonable so I had a manicure and massage BLISS..that does cost as well...as for gifts I did not bring many things back home, they are mainly the local wooden artifacts etc..

I'm sure you'll enjoy kenya - it's a very popular holiday.
Quite a few of your meals are included so you won't need a lot of money for food - just enough for a few lunches and any snacks, so perhaps about £40-50? You'll also need money for any soft or alcoholic drinks.
Other Community users might be able to give you an idea of how much they spent.
Kind regards,
Olly, your editor
