Yes, hotels will usually change money for you though you might not get the best rate. However, this is probably the easiest way.

We have found that certain hotels are refusing to accept Travellers' Cheques with the following logos:

- Visa TCs issued by Interpayment Services Ltd

- Master Card TCs issued by Thomas Cook Ltd

I am going on the wonder of China trip i have some currency and some traveller's cheques i have been told that the hotels will change them easily, can you please confirm this.
