Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. We've had some website problems which are now resolved.

There's nothing to worry about with Uzbekistan Airways. They use western aircraft, Boeing 757, and have operated into the UK for many years without any issues.

They are also the only airline to fly direct from the UK to Uzbekistan, so to fly with anyone else would means a longer journey.

I hope this reassures you. The Silk Road sounds like a fascinating tour - let me know if you decide to take it.

I am thinking about the silk road trip next year as it is a milestone birthday both in terms of numbers and reasons, however I am a bit concerned that you are using Uzbekistan Airways who appear not to have a good reputation in terms of customer care and services on the plane. Can you reassure me? I wonder why you aren't using British Airways as I know they fly to Tashkent or at least did.

Please don't be offended by my question but like I say it's a major holiday for more than one reason and I would hate to have it marred by a bad start.
