In my experience, dollars are widely accepted in Mexico but I would recommend using pesos where possible. You will usually be paying a higher rate for the privilege of using dollars, but, that said, it's not a bad idea to take some dollars too.

Hi Ollie, Can you confirm yet how many are going on this holiday i believe our Rep is Julie Gilder looking forward to meeting her.Also could you give me some advice on currency,would it be wise to take some US Dollars as well as the Mexican Peso as this is a touring holiday i am at a loss what to do for the best.
