Sorry for the delay in getting back to you - we've been having some problems with the website, which also explains the slow speeds you have encountered. Everything should be back to normal now, though.

You will be able to use your travellers' cheques in Cyprus as the country is well set up for visitors. Another option is to use your bank card at the cashpoints over there. This is the option I normally take, as it is much easier than finding somewhere to exchange TCs and queueing. Check first with your bank that your card will work, just to be sure.

Cyprus is also very safe, with friendly people who have been looking after tourists for many years. I'm sure you'll love it!

I'm not able to delete messages once they're published, I'm afraid. But if you send me a correction straightaway, I can delete your previous message before publishing.

i am thinking of booking the northern cyprus trip for may 18th next year. i haven't been abroad for many years and so am not clued up on a number of things,i am wondering whether you can help....i know that travellers cheques are not as popular now,but i wish to take a few,(unless there is an alternative to travellers cheques now).i understand that nearly all hotels etc,still readily accept them. i would appreciate any advice you could give me...also, due to the terrorism threat globally now,is cyprus (over all),a safe place to visit?...finally,is it possible to delete posts that i place on the message board?,i cannot find a way to do this...this is a good website,but slow!, any reason?.i know that this can be because the website is busy, but not the only reason...i hope to hear back from you soon Olly.
