as a Just You Tour Manager and living in Austria I too have been caught out with the change in flight times. When I operate tours it means it departs too early and when Im desperate to get home. For me it is part a parcel of the job but to those who it isnt I wish to offer a small tip....

is accommodation directly at the airport in the south terminal all self contained. Its a new concept and costs from 25 pounds for a room for 6 hours. So you can comfortably travel from home the late afternoon/evening before and sleep at the airport without the faff of hoppa buses to and from hotels!! And just at the entrance is the Marks and Spencer food store for eats and treats to have in your room. It wont be to everyones cup of tea but is a solution and inexpensive option. With so many flights being cut from all my nearby airports as well as some of my colleagues who live elsewhere outside the UK in the current climate Im still pleased that links are being retained even if the timings a little inconvenient. And when you see this beautiful area of Austria you will understand.

Rosemary, when did you book your holiday? I'm doing this trip at the end of September, booked it on the 2nd January and the new flight times were on my confirmation, so penlty of notice.

We always let customers know as soon as possible if any changes have to be made to their arrangements, and especially in the case of new flight times. The last thing we want to do is inconvenience anyone, but in this case there really was no alternative.

We do know that people like to make plans - I'm just the same when I go on holiday. But while it is very tempting to take advantage of early-booker offers for car parking and hotels, there is always the risk that flight times can change, so I would recommend making arrangements as close to departure as possible.

I am sorry that the start of your trip is earlier than you expected, but I'm sure you and Rosemary and your fellow travellers will still have a wonderful trip.

I am travelling with Rosemary on this trip, and I have to say that this has happened to me before with JY. I fully understand that these things can happen, but do you know much ealier than say the 2 weeks notice that you give us, as if you do I do think we should be told well in advance, so we can make other plans. Like Rosemary I for once thought I would be travelling after a nights sleep, but now we shall all be starting a weeks holiday very tired..and no, I also do not want the added cost of an overnight stay at LGW.

I'm sorry that your flight time changed for this holiday. However, I can assure you that this is not something we ever like to do and it is not something we have any control over. This decision will have been taken by the airline and we will have had no choice but to adjust our holiday accordingly.

I am so annoyed once again that I received tickets today for Austrian Lakes and they have changed the flight times, this happens every holiday I go on, do you n ot think that people plan their pick ups and drop off around the advertised times(I know all the terms and conditions explanation) I thought it would be lovely on a Sunday not to have to start out at 3.15 lift on my coach and would have been 7.15 a.m. You always do it when it is too late to cancel or when all the money is paid it so is not fair.I really will think about ever taking a holiday with yourselves again this is the 8th.I see that you also have one of these trips for Sept with the roriginal times on is it just to lure people so they think they are rather nice flights and when youi have all the money in change them ?? Very Very annoyed customer. Last time I complained the young man on the phone said well why not book an overnight stay in London?? yes and was he going to pay ??? good suggestion I don't think
