Hi Glenn

Tipping is always a slightly awkward issue, isn't it?

I wouldn't like to say what you should give. It really is up to you, based on what you can spare and how pleased you are with the service you are getting.

Also, tips can all add up over the course of a long holiday so if you're planning to give them, you're right to budget for them.

Personally, I would be inclined to give the guide £2-3 per day and the driver £1-2, but you might well want to give less or more.

The exchange rate is currently about £1 : 50 baht.

I hope this helps.

Kind regards,

I am trying to work out the amount of Thai Bahts I need to take with me for this holiday. Can anyone give us a clue about how much in Bahts we tip the drivers / guides per day?

Many thanks

Glenn
