You'll need to pay for any optional excursions when you're in the US but you you won't need to carry too much extra cash as you can use your credit card for most of the more expensive trips (including flights over the Grand Canyon).

When do you pay for the excursions. Can you pay for them before you go on thr holiday. Im also wanting to book the alcatraz tour, but need to know what time the morning tour finishes so it doesn't clash.

Ive just booked to go to Americas golden west in may next year. I see in the brochure that there are optional trips in a light aircraft over the grand canyon and a helicopter ride over las vegas. Would you have any idea where I can find out a rough price for these trips as I want to do both these when I arrive there, the flight over the grand canyon sounds like something not to be missed.
